Jessica's Law Finally Adopted in NC

North Carolina General Assembly overwhelmingly passed Jessica's Law this past Thursday. It passed the NC Senate by a vote of 44-0, and the NC House by a vote of 109-1 (according to WRAL) or by a vote of 114-0 (according to the Gaston Gazette). As soon as I learn who is correct I will post an update. North Carolina becomes the 33rd state to enact some form of Jessica's Law. 33 down, 17 to go.

"When we leave tomorrow and go home, I think that you can tell all of your folks that we have passed a premiere piece of legislation for our children, for all of the children in North Carolina," said Rep. Julia Howard, R-Davie.
